Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Nottingham Forest Forward, Taiwo Awoniyi on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Ilorin, Ibrahim Sulu Gambari CFR at his Palace.
Awoniyi who is currently on holiday visited the monarch as part of his tour around the city.
During the visit, the Emir of Ilorin prayed for Awoniyi to prosper in his career.
The monarch also recalled that Awoniyi paid him a visit while he travelled to England for his holiday back in November last year.
Awoniyi who hails from Kwara State presented a replica of his jersey to the Emir who also in turn blessed the former Union Berlin Striker during their meeting in England.
The former Liverpool Striker was born and bred in Ilorin where he found and nurtured his dream as a footballer.
Awoniyi, after his visit to the palace also made a surprise visit to Ilorin general hospital where he donated cash to patients.
