Suspected ritualists kill 14-year-old girl, Maryam in Plateau
Maryam Salisu, 14, residing in Babale community, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State has been recovered dead.
A source told newsmen that the girl’s dead body was recovered in the trench with her eyes, breasts, tooth and tongue missing.
According to the source, the victim was attacked while fetching firewood in a bush near the community.
The source revealed that the mother of the deceased, Fatima Danliti, has lamented openly while narrating her last experience with her daughter.
He added that she had left everything to Allah (God).
The mother noted, “It is painful but there is nothing I can do. It is left for the person that committed the crime and Allah.”
Aisha Sani, one of the girls, who witnessed the incident, said that she was there when the man suddenly suddenly hit Maryam on her head.
The source revealed that the deceased girl, alongside 12 other girls, had gone to a nearby bush to get firewood when an attack was launched at Fatima, while the rest of them ran for their lives.
