Super Eagles touch down Monrovia for AFCON qualifier clash against Sierra Leone
Nigeria’s Super Eagles have arrived in Liberia’s capital, Monrovia for their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Sierra Leone.
23 players and team officials jetted into the West African country at around 11:20 am local time on Saturday (today).
The contingent moved to their hotel after concluding immigration formalities.
The Super Eagles will have a feel of the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium, venue of the game this evening.
Jose Peseiro’s side defeated Sierra Leone 2-1 in the reverse fixture last June.
The game will kick off at 5pm Nigeria time on Sunday as the three time AFCON winners will seek to dislodge Guinea Bissau at the top of Group A.
