Super Eagles Legend,Segun Odegbami launches new Sports Radio Station in Abeokuta

Nigerian Football legend, Segun Odegbami has launched a new Radio station in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital.

Odegbami whose interests cover Sports administration, Education and Journalism said in a post on his official page that the idea of the Radio is a lifetime dream.

Located at Panseke area of the Abeokuta metropolis, the Station with its Sports-centered approach is expected to project local and international contents in a technologically-inclined ways.

“From the 7th hour of the 7th day of June 2022, Eagle 7 Sports Radio will commence commercial broadcasting to the world on the official frequency of 103.7 fm”he announced.

“The  Radio Station is predominantly dedicated to Sport. It shall, however, be afrocentric and shall cover the whole spectrum of entertainment, including the arts, culture, music, dance, film, poetry, theatre, literature, drums, etc”

He further said in the statement,”Sport has the power to change the world”,  so we shall be looking at other related sectors of health, education, law, medicine, the environment, town planning, well-being, infrastructural development, business, diplomacy and so on,  through the prism of Sport”

Odegbami will be remembered as part of the team that won the first ever Nigeria African Cup of Nations title in 1980.

Spending most part of his career at Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan, formerly IICC with domestic and continental honours to his credit, Odegbami is regarded as one of the legend of the Nigerian football.

“I thank the Creator of the Universe for the grace of life and His abundant blessings in my life, plus gratitude to all friends, family, fans, and followers”. he concluded.

The Station is believed to be the Third all time Sports Radio Station in the Country behind Brila FM in Lagos and Prime Sports Radio, Enugu.
