Super Eagles land in Guinea Bissau for revenge

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have landed in the capital city of Guinea Bissau ahead of the reverse fixture of the AFCON qualifier against the wild dogs of Guinea Bissau.

The Nigerian delegation departed from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at 7 am on Sunday aboard a chartered flight.

Eagles lost the first leg of the game in Abuja on Friday 0-1 and will be hoping to secure a victory in the second leg billed for Tuesday, March 28.

With the defeat, Nigeria dropped to the second position with 6pts in Group A while Guinea Bissau moves to the top with 7 points.

Meanwhile, CAF has appointed Moroccan referees for the return leg in Bissau.

Samir Guezzaz, son of the retired Mohamed Guezzaz, will superintend, with compatriots Zakaria Brinsi, Hamza Naciri and Noureddine El Jaafari in the roles of assistant referee 1, assistant referee 2 and fourth official respectively.

Massa Diarra from Mauritania will be the match commissioner and Waldabet Koissoual from Chad will function as the referee assessor.
