Super Eagles back in Nigeria after defeating Guinea Bissau

After their 1-0 win over hosts Guinea Bissau in the match day four of the AFCON qualifiers, the Super Eagles of Nigeria are now back to the country.

The players, before leaving Bissau had dinner with the Nigerian ambassador and then went straight to the airport.

The team touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on Tuesday morning around 2.15am.

Their victory against the Wild Dogs meant that they returned to the top of Group A with nine points, with Guinea Bissau second on seven and Sierra Leone, who spanked Sao Tome and Principe on Wednesday, third on five points.

The team will regroup for the next round of the qualifiers in June. Nigeria travels away to Sierra Leone and Guinea Bissau take on bottom-placed Sao Tome and Principe.
