The Ilorin Emirate Council, on Tuesday, said it would hold a special prayer for the new Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Prof. Ibrahim Agboola Gambari on Saturday, September 19.
Professor Gambari, an academician, diplomat and accomplished administrator was appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday 13th May 2020 following the death of Mallam Abba Kyari.
“In line with the tradition and customs of supporting all political appointees as well as career officers of Ilorin Emirate origin with prayers for a successful tenure in office, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR has oraginsed a special prayer for Professor Ibrahim Gambari, Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari,” a statement from the Ilorin palace read.
“The prayer is scheduled to come up at the Ilorin Emir’s Palace on Saturday 19th September 2020 by 9am prompt. Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, few Islamic clerics shall be allowed into the venue in line with COVID-19 safety protocol guidelines,” it added.
The statement therefore urged members of the public to strictly adhere to the guidelines and cooperate with security agents before, during and after the prayer session.
