The Kwara North Development Council (KWANDCO) has praised President Muhammadu Buhari over the approval of the rehabilitation of four major roads in Kwara State.
The Informant247 recalls that the Federal Executive Council FEC had last Wednesday endorsed the rehabilitation of four roads totaling 284km in Kwara north senatorial district.
The roads which got the approval of the FEC, are Kosubosu – Kaiama – Bode-Saadu (130km), Bacita – Tsonga – Lafiagi (83km), Eyenkorin – Afon – Offa – Odo Ottin (49km) and Okuta -Bukuro (32km).
The chairman of KWANDCO, Hon Ahmed Muhammad while addressing newsmen in Ilorin, the capital of the state, commended the new development.
“We, on behalf of the people of Kwara north, Kwara State and the commuting public, want to appreciate the APC and President Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government for their concern for the plight of the people of the area and, indeed, the commuting public.
“We want to use this medium to appeal to the BUA Group to ensure speedy commencement and quality work. We urge BUA to consider the plight of the people in the areas. Continuity and completion in good time can only be guaranteed when the projects are properly funded,” he said.
He also praised the Governor of the state, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and other concerned stakeholders for their contribution in making sure the rehabilitation of the roads was approved by the FEC’s affirming that, “the completion of these roads will breathe life into the social and economic dynamism of Kwara North which is the agricultural epicentre of Kwara State serving agricultural produce, in large quantity, to the south – west and other parts of the country.”
