Sports Minister to commission late Alaafin of Oyo Mini Stadium
Plans have been concluded for the official commission of the late Alaafin of Oyo, Ọba Lamidi Adéyẹmí Mini stadium at the ancient town of Oyo on Thursday, 20th of October, 2022.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the stadium which was facilitated by Honourable Akeem Adeyemi Skimeh will be commissioned by the Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Chief Sunday Dare who is also an APC Chieftain in Oyo State.
The event which will be witnessed by other party faithfuls , Oyo Chiefs will also feature a novelty match expected to be graced by ex-footballers.
“An organised novelty match will be taking place too which will feature many ex-internationals, christen Oyo All Stars vs Ibadan All Stars. Hon Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare will be on ground to officially commission the stadium.
Stars to watch out for includes Dimeji Lawal, Duke Udi, Dele Ajiboye, Ṣẹgun Atẹrẹ, Muyiwa Lawal, Dele Ajilẹyẹ who will be playing for Ibadan All Stars. Najim Olukokun, Saheed Akara, Lukman Agolo, Adebisi Akeem will features for Oyo All Stars. Our Torch bearer, Hon. Prince Akeem Adeniyi Adeyemi will lead the Oyo All Stars”.
