South African rapper, Riky Rick, commits suicide
South African rapper, Rikhado Muziwendlovu Makhado, who is popularly known as Riky Rick has reportedly committed suicide, The Informant247 gathered.
According to several sources, the songwriter committed suicide on Wednesday, February 23, 2021, at his home in South Africa after suffering from severe depression. Another source revealed the 34-year-old artist hung himself with a rope.
He was reportedly rushed to a nearby hospital where he eventually gave up the ghost.
The family spokesperson Sheikani Makhado confirmed his passing but could not divulge any further details;
“The family is still meeting, and we will release a statement in due course. We ask for your understanding.”
In 2020, the rapper opened up about his struggle with depression after his father died.
Riky Rick was born on 20th June, 1987 and got married in 2013 to his wife, Bianca Naidoo. They’re blessed with two children. Makhado was the founder and owner of the record label, Cotton Club Records.
