Shonga Emirate Youths seek partnership with Saliu Mustapha Foundation
The Tsonga Emirate Youths Development Association (SHEYDA) has sought collaboration with the Saliu Mustapha Foundation to enhance community development initiatives, particularly in agriculture and human capital development.
The group made this request during a courtesy visit to the constituency office of Senator Saliu Mustapha in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
Led by its National President, Mallam Hassan Adam Danjuma, and the National Secretary, Engr. Usman Liman Abdulkadir, the delegation commended the Senator’s inclusive outreach and impact across Kwara State irrespective of ethnicity and religion, expressing hope for similar productive collaboration between the group and the Senator’s office.
Danjuma specifically called for a partnership to promote agricultural development and human capital development in the area, stating that such collaboration would improve livelihoods and boost economic activities in Shonga Emirates.
Responding, the Senator’s Executive Assistant, Barrister Abdulkareem Alabi, assured the delegation that despite Shonga being outside Kwara Central Senatorial District, Senator Mustapha remains committed to supporting community-driven initiatives from all parts of Kwara state.
Alabi, however, clarified that the Senator’s interventions outside of the Kwara Central would be limited to self-funded projects for now.
He also promised that the Senator would be willing to advocate for their needs at the state and local government levels if the need arises.
He urged the association to maintain open communication with the Senator’s office, pledging continued engagement on issues of mutual interest.
