The youngest son of renowned Afrobeat musician Fela Kuti, Nigerian singer Seun Kuti, is 40 years old.
The musician, who becomes a year older today, January 11, shared portraits from his birthday photoshoot and expressed his deepest desire to live as an “African elder” on his Instagram page.
The artist clarified what he meant by saying that he wants to age with dignity and grace, setting an example for future generations.
Clearly thrilled to be writing on this particular day, “Happy birthday to meeeeeeeeee!!!! The goal is to become an African elder, i.e., one who has aged with grace and dignity that the young ones can emulate. I am happy to make it to 40!! The journey continues.”
