An Abuja based lawyer, Mr Adamson Adeboro, on Sunday criticized the professional practice of law by fake legal practitioners and implored the members of the public to report perpetrators.
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) made this revelation during an interactive session with newsmen in Abuja.
He has spoken against some persons who go about to establish legal firms without knowledge of legal practice and law.
Adeboro has thanked the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) for arresting fake legal practitioners reaffirming that the association had done its best.
“However, NBA is not omnipotent or omnipresent, we need people’s assistance.
“There must be synergy amongst lawyers, the society and the people generally on how to apprehend fake lawyers.
“If you live in a particular environment and suddenly somebody becomes a lawyer and you know that he never went to the four walls of a classroom, report such person to appropriate authorities,” he advised.
Adeboro further encouraged all members of the society to make sure the fake lawyers are reported and arrested.
