A senator representing Kwara Central senatorial district at the National Assembly today, 8th of July launched the University of Ilorin Student Union Journal with a sum of 1 million Naira.
The Journal is described to be an annual scholarly outlet which is aimed at circulating information that will assist and guide in the establishment and sustainment of good leadership practices by the students. The fifth edition which was done in honour of senator Rafiu Ibrahim is designed to encourage learning, aid research ability and protraying the good image of the student union, the ‘better by far’ students and the University Community at large.
The student Union PRO Com. Omotosho Ahmed disclosed that the choice of Sen Rafiu is to give recognition to his effort towards the development of the country. In his speech, he said ‘The rationale behind the choice of Senator Rafiu Ibrahim is to give due recognition and appreciate his contributions, at the senate chamber of the National Assembly , towards the exciting development that is taking place in our country today. This edition features perspectives issues on different aspects of developmental issues which includes Corruption, Communication and other”
He further described the senator as a legislator per excellence and one of the best senators the federal republic of Nigeria ever had.
