Security Operatives arrest 2 persons with fake currencies in Kwara

The Kwara State Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have arrested, Nicholas Kelechi and Benjamin Moore, upon the allegation affiliated to them on the possession of fake currency.

In a statement released on Saturday and signed by the Public Relation Officer, Babawale Zaid said Moore, the ring leader of fake currency racketeering group in the state, hails from Ebonyi but resided in Iseyin in kwara state.

“Benjamin Moore confessed that a man he met at lokoja introduced him to the business of counterfeiting currencies,” he said

He said that a yet to be identified man took Moore to a temple in ibadan where he exchanged one real ₦200 note with a ₦1000 fake note.

“The suspect said they decided to operate in far places like Yagba market where they could not be easily traced.

“The two suspects are now at the state command for further investigation,” he Said
