Secondary school teacher killed by unknown assailant in Niger
Mokwa community in Niger State has once again been thrown into mourning following the tragic death of a secondary school teacher, Mallam Mohammed Abubakar Tayi.
Mohammed was reportedly killed on Saturday morning along Abattoir Road in Mokwa by unknown assailant who were also believed to have snatched his motorcycle.
Local source claimed that Mohammed, who until his death taught at Government Day Secondary School Kpege, Mokwa and at Bokani secondary school was hale and hearty and celebrated Eid with his family on Friday.
“He was my teacher at Government Day Secondary School Kpege,and still celebrated the Eid yesterday with his family. We can’t still confirm how the incident occurred but he was brutally murdered as some part of his body were severed by his killer” said Usman Salihu who spoke to The Informant247
The incident is happening ten days after the community witnessed one of the most devastating flood disaster that killed hundreds of lives and displaced thousands.
The deceased has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
