I do not subscribe to, and I can never concur with any argument that suggests the just concluded trial of our Leader, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki at the CCT was a prosecution. Even a daft and socio-political novice can decipher it from the ab-initio. It was crystal clear that he encountered the CCT trial as a sacrifice for the position he assumed.
Matters emanating from the Attorney General’s office and the Prosecution Counsel as regards appealing the acquittal of Saraki by the Code of Conduct Tribunal have shown that he (Saraki) is just a victim of political power tussle, whom some elements are not comfortable with, and wish to politically obliterate at all cost. I don’t wish to juxtapose or liken Saraki’s case with that of anyone that have been discharged by the CCT in the past. For all I care, the FG and the undercover elements that are fighting Saraki should know when to backpedal over this kind of witch hunting that is capable of heating the polity wholesomely.
They might attempt to turn back the hands of the clock, but…destiny is unchangeable. One will never miss his appointment with destiny, never, ever! The only advice I’ll give to the so-called power broker is to eat the humble pie and let the will of Allah prevail as it is, or they’d have their boat hit the rock.
The fight of the throne and supremacy is common in every aspect of human endeavours, but why is the fight for supremacy in political class always seems to be fight to finish? Having forgotten that only God appoint leaders. And in doing that, HE chooses whoever HE wants at a given time. Saraki is the President of the Senate, Federal Reuplic of Nigeria at this time as destined by Allah, the earlier the enemies wake up to this reality, the better!
To some gullible minded fellows, Saraki’s ordeal is about fighting corruption. They have adversely convinced the nonentities and divert their attention from real issues. Today, I can authoritatively tell anyone who cares to listen… Now, any Nigerian above age 30, with minimum of basic education with a liberated mind, who thinks the Saraki’s trial is part of President Buhari’s avowed fight against corruption is a FOOL! I repeat: if you are capable of reading this, digest and understand it and you still think arraigning Bukola Saraki by the CCT and the recent purported appeal by the FG after being discharged and acquitted by the tribunal is part of fighting corruption, you are a NONENTITY!
Trouble started since after the election, you will notice that the influence of Kwankwaso, Amaechi, Wammako and Nyako have been whittled by this administration. Saraki was the only one who stood up to them and their legal stooges, i.e the CCB/CCT and EFCC. The so-called New-PDP then, were used and it was time to dump them. If those guys had not left PDP, would Buhari have won? Capital NO! When Bukola Saraki was up and down, taking the risk of his life, using own money for BUHARI’s campaign, EFCC and CCB were on holidays then I think? They agreed on power formula and saw his ambition was to be the Senate President. They knew all along. But they would not discourage him because he was needed at the time. The rest is now history!
Uncle Adeneye-Adejuwon said “what was in the dock at the CCT was not Saraki but the lies, shame, deception and fraud of the APC to deceive Nigerians that this administration is fighting corruption. And let me make one ominous prediction: the beginning of the end of APC has begun. Dismiss it. Abuse me. Insult me. Call me paid agent. But you will say, in few months time, that I told you. Unless it is not Nigerian politics we are talking about here.”
They are trying hard to ensure they paint Saraki as corruption personified public officer before average Nigerians, calling for his head all day and night, just to keep him off balance because of the fear of the unknown which only God can determine. The Saraki I know is not perturbed by their antics, he will watch them untill they are consumed by their own fire. And we, his supporters and loyalists will not rest, we’ll not be deterred, we’ll continue to fight for his course, we’ll continue to stand by him and pray for him till he surmount this framed hurdle. And by Allah’s grace he will come out of this concocted shit victoriously again and again.
Call me a stooge, call me a puppet, call me a propagandist, call me sycophant, it doesn’t move me an inch, in as much as I’m convinced with my opinion. I can not be complacent and be complaisant at the same time. That is multifaceted! I rather remain complacent. A check through my political antecedents and profile would tell you that I, Sulyman Kayode Yusuf MAJA will never compromise for Saraki political institution. In the dynasty I shall remain forever.
The Saraki’s ordeal is a big political conspiracy. It is ONE PERSECUTION, TOO MANY; an intrigue that has kept our minds worried for two solid years. Yet, some elements are still not comfortable with Saraki’s victory at the tribunal, planning to retreat through an appeal, just to keep the fire of persecution burning. We decree today that every hands behind our worrisome situation would know no peace. This is not a curse, but a warning signal, for they have murdered sleep by taking Saraki as their victim.
The filthy aspect of the trial that baffles me personally is that, a case is being instituted by the Federal Government of Nigeria against Saraki, yet, some gullible would say the President has no nexus with the case. I am not as credulous as to believe such. Could someone just save me from that rhetoric? If the President knows nothing about it as they have made us to believe, why hasn’t he direct the concerned authorities to backdown on the trial as to save his administration from a likely trauma that might be too much for his government to contain?
Having forgotten his role in the movement towards APC victory in 2015 general elections, I am sorry for those that are trying God through Saraki, as they will all meet their waterloo soon.Obviously, some power brokers are not happy with Saraki for truncating their calculated plan to use him and dump him, which he had resisted by becoming the Senate President with the support of Allah and his like minds distinguished colleagues.
We are in a modern age and time where everyone’s opinion counts. The era of winner must takes all is fast gone. The excessive need to be only ME to decide or determines “who gets what” of some self styled leader is no longer fashionable at the center.
When drinking water from a well don’t forget those who dug it.-Chinese proverb.
I don’t care the yardstick anyone would use in measuring Saraki’s fate on this trial and I don’t give a damn about the nomenclature and appellation anyone could use in labelling me and my opinion, but my hope is very alive and I am optimistic about his victory at the end of the whole saga. If the news of the appeal is anything to go by; we are waiting for it, as ACQUITTAL awaits ABS all the way…
They could frustrate him, persecute him, victimise him,.. but they won’t succeed in decimating him, rather they’d only succeed in making him more famous and heroic in the nation.
Let us save our nation and democracy from anarchy.
Let us support Saraki against his persecutors.
