Sanitation: Kwara allows movement for TESCOM applicants scheduled for CBT exam

The Kwara State Government has exempted applicants with a valid means of identification for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) of the State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) recruitment exercise billed for Saturday, 22nd February 2025, from the monthly sanitation.

According to a statement issued Friday by the Commissioner for Environment, Hajia Nafisat Musa Buge, through the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary Shakirat Muritala, the monthly environmental sanitation exercise scheduled for tomorrow will be held between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM.

The statement furthered that the commissioner had instructed environmental officers and security personnel to allow movement for TESCOM applicants with verified invitations to their CBT exams and those handling emergencies, including workers on essential duties.

However, residents are strongly encouraged to participate actively to ensure a cleaner and healthier environment, adding that waste management trucks will be available for waste collection and proper disposal at government-approved dump sites.

The Commissioner also reminded the public that dumping refuse on pedestrian walkways, roadsides, drainages, canals, and other unapproved locations is a punishable offence under environmental laws.
