The candidate for the Kwara Central Senatorial District on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC launched registration portal where citizens of the state can apply for the UTME scholarship.
The Saliu Mustapha Foundation is a non-governmental establishment, operating in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State.
The NGO is to uplift and grow the living standards of the less privileged persons and disadvantaged communities, especially the orphans and other vulnerable organizations.
This is one of the many programmes put in place by the foundation, to lend assisting hands to students, and especially to ensure comfort in their education and well-being.
The foundation owned by the Turaki of Ilorin, recently concluded a scholarship scheme for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WAEC) — which was designed to assist orphans.
The WAEC scholarship programme attracted reactions from 800 applicants.
The foundation has over the years run the scholarship programmes to neutralize the economic burden of parents of students, and to sponsor the less privileged ones to achieve their life goals.
The foundation has also done so much in terms of empowerment programmes to grow the living standards of the people of the state.
