Saliu Mustapha Foundation Empowers Women With Over N10m Grants

A philanthropic organisation, Saliu Mustapha Foundation has on Sunday, 24th November, 2019 shelled out N10.5m as 150 women across various Local Government Councils of the state smiled home with 70,000.


The empowerment programme which kicked off with opening address from Mallam AbdulKadir Omo Alubarika. The Islamic Cleric highlighted rare virtues of founder of the foundation, Saliu Mustapha, stressing that the philanthropist is a pious man who is indiscriminate in his act of benevolence.

 

Chairman of the occasion, Professor Ibrahim Jawodo explained that empowerment, under normal circumstances is piloted by charity organisations – not policians as it is the case in Nigeria.

The scholar, further implored multitude of beneficiaries to judiciously invest the grants in productive ventures in order to attain financial and economic freedom.

One of the beneficiaries expressed her delight at the uncommon gestures of Mallam Saliu Mustapha, noting that she never believed she could enjoy such unselective opportunity as she is a non indigene from Edo state.
