18-year-old sales representative, Opeyemi Oginni, was on Thursday remanded in Agodi Correctional centre over alleged killing of his female colleague.
Oginni was remanded on the order of an Iyaganku Family Court in Ibadan on Thursday over alleged killing of his female colleague.
Oginni was charged by the police with murder.
Mrs Patricia Adetuyibi, the Chief Magistrate, rejected the plea of Oginni for want in jurisdiction.
She directed the remand of Oginni at Agodi Correctional centre, Agodi, Ibadan .
Adetuyibi has adjourned the case until February 9, for mention.
Insp Folake Ewe, the Prosecution Counsel, informed the court that Oginni, on November 5, around 9a.m at Ipapo area, Okaka, in Oyo State triggered the passing of his 15-year-old girl who’s also his colleague.
The police said that the suspect found a gun on the road and gunned down his colleague.
He victim sustained injury in the thigh which triggered her death.
She said that the offence was in contravention of Section 316 and is punishable under Section 319 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State 2000.
