Ronaldo set to be fined over 500 million naira after outburst interview
Cristiano Ronaldo is set to be fined at least £1million for his outburst against Manchester United and Erik ten Hag in an interview with Piers Morgan.
Snippets from the said interview which will have its full package released on Wednesday saw Ronaldo accusing the club of betrayal and also the Coach of disrespecting him.
The 37-year-old heavily criticized the way the club is being currently managed, saying some of its training equipments hasn’t changed since he left the club for Real Madrid in 2009.
Ronaldo was fined two weeks’ wages in October after his refusal to come on as a substitute against Tottenham, walking down the tunnel before the match was finished.
According to metro.co.uk, the club is expected to do the same this time around, with Ronaldo facing another fine of around £1m which is worth five hundred twenty million two hundred ninety-four thousand five hundred ninety of Nigeria naira.
Ronaldo will be off to Qatar World Cup in a matter of days to join Portugal squad for the mundial.
The outburst seems to be the height of the controversy between Manchester United and the five time Baloon D’or winner even as there are strong indications that he will leave the club in January
