Revenge mood activated as Adesanya face Pereira again in April
Alex Pereira would be defending his middleweight title against former champion Israel Adesanya at the upcoming UFC 287 event in April.
Recall that the Brazilian beat Adesanya to take the title in November 2022.
In a twist of things, he will now face his familiar rival for the fourth time in their professional fighting careers at UFC 287.
The date of the fight is currently without a confirmed location.
Adesanya has never beaten Pereira in three attempts, losing twice in kick-boxing and losing his middleweight crown at their last meeting in the UFC.
The Nigerian-born New Zealander who is UFC’s pound-for-pound No 4 fighter had held the middleweight title since 2019, but was beaten by the 35-year-old by technical knockout in the fifth round of their clash at UFC 281.
