Kwara Football Academy has qualified for the quarter-final of the ongoing 39th edition of Ramat Cup International in Kano State.
The team representing Kwara State, having won the last two editions of famous tournament normally organised by the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) are gunning for their third title in a row.
In the group stage games, they defeated Ekiti State team 3-0, drew FCT Abuja team 1-1, thrashed Bauchi 3-0 and eventually played out a goalless draw with the representatives of Yobe State in their last game.
The team led by Coach Ladi Ojokojo is currently prosecuting the championship without some of their talismen which includes former Skipper Godwin Oshagbemi, Abubakar Garba and the goalkeeper Daniel Aiyenugba.
Kwara likely to face Kano State or Kebbi State (based on other group stage matches that are yet to be decided) in one of the last ‘8’ games billed for Friday.
A total number of 21 States across the federation are participating at the tournament.
