The leadership of the National Association of Kwara State Students (NAKSS), has applauded Mallam Saliu for donating bags of rice to indigent students in tertiary institutions across the state for Ramadan.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Association’s president, Muftau Mubarak and sent to this medium on Wednesday.
The statement read, “The show of appreciation is preceded by the show of love via the foundation to some indigent students of Kwara State through the National Headquarters of the association.
“The foundation doles out bags of rice to the association to be distributed among Kwara indigent students across the state-based institutions.
“We on this gesture submit our most sincere gratitude to Mallam Saliu Mustapha and pray for continuous uplifting throughout his endeavors. Amen.”
For his part, Alhaji Adebayo Ambali, the Director-General of Saliu Mustapha Foundation pointed out that the donation was made at the instance of the student leaders and in the realisation that there are indigent students across campuses that are in need of the foodstuffs to fulfill their spiritual obligations.
He said, “It gladdens our hearts that the leadership of NAKSS found the modest support our foundation extended to indigent students during the month of Ramadan is worthy of appreciation.
“We are particularly happy with the students’ excellent coordination of the distribution of the foodstuffs across select tertiary institutions in the state.”
Ambali, who commended NAKSS for taking up this role, said the foundation looks forward to furthering robust relationships with the student body.
