Primaries: Ishaq Saaka emerges PDP candidate for Ilorin North-West constituency
Delegates of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ilorin North-West have voted Comrade Ishaq Saaka Olalekan as the party’s candidate in the forthcoming 2023 general election.
The primary election was held on Sunday at Yembmut Hotel in Ilorin, the state capital.
All the party delegates affirm the consensus to make Ishaq the party candidate.
Mallam Issa AbdulKadir, the party chairman in Ilorin West Local Government, in his speech, enjoined all party members to come out massively during the forthcoming elections to vote for their candidate, so as not to be a victim of ineffective governance.
Ishaq, reacting to his victory, said, “We’re capable and equipped of taking the post back from this ineffectiual and false leadership which disparage our value and worth as constituency.
“We’re at the point of no retreat, the state as at a verge of collapsing, we’re a semi-fizzled or more-less a failed state, security has imploded and this is cause by unproductive leaders. Without an effective legislature, the executive can perform their jobs.”
He further urge party members to be law abiding citizens and make good use of their Permanent Voter Card (PVC).
INEC officials, security agencies, among others were also present.
