The Congress of Progressive Patriots has called on Nigerians from all walks of life to unite and extend their support to Mr. Bayo Adelabu, the recently appointed Minister of Power.

The group emphasizes that the success of his tenure is pivotal for the economic, industrial, and developmental progress of the nation.

Issuing a press release in Oyo town, Oyo State, the group, represented by Alh. Rasheed Adebisi (Oyo State Chairman), Hon. Segun Abioye (Oyo State Gen. Secretary), and Comrade Joel Adeola (Oyo State Publicity Secretary), endorsed by National Director General Hon. Yinka Idowu, conveyed their plea to the public.

Highlighting Adelabu’s impressive track record as a financial and boardroom expert, the group expressed optimism in his capabilities to address the nation’s persistent electricity challenges.

Despite the magnitude of the task, which has eluded previous occupants of the portfolio, the group believes Adelabu will leverage his vast network, financial acumen, boardroom expertise, and political connections to bring about a permanent resolution to the power crisis.

This, they believe, will be a significant step towards catalyzing economic, industrial, and developmental progress.

The statement further underscores the importance of rallying industry stakeholders, political figures, and the general populace to extend their support to Adelabu, in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s renewed agenda for the power sector.

Furthermore, the group calls upon the people of Oyo State, particularly members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to set aside differences and unite in solidarity behind one of their own.

“This move is seen as a means to harness collective strength and commitment towards achieving a much-needed transformation in the nation’s power landscape.”

In this way, the Congress of Progressive Patriots seeks to galvanize a cohesive effort that fosters progress and addresses the long-standing power crisis for the betterment of the nation as a whole.
