The management of the controversial street singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly addressed as Portable, has broken silence on the arrest and detention of its principal.
The management of the self-proclaimed “wahala musician” dismissed the claim that the singer was arrested, affirming that he surrendered himself to them.
The Informant247 recalls that the singer has been kept in the custody of the Ogun State Police Headquarters in Abeokuta, the capital of the state on Friday.
His management has taken to social media to reveal that he was arrested, clarifying that he surrendered himself to the police.
“Remain calm as everything is under control. We are writing this for those reaching out to us. Portable was not arrested, he went to the police station himself to honour the invitation of the police,” the statement partly read.
The management commended those who showed concern over the issue.
The spokesperson of the police, CSP Muyiwa Adejobi, said the controversial street singer would be facing at least a 6 count charge at the court for assaulting some police officers.
He made this revelation in a tweet released on Saturday April 1, 2023.
