Poor run continues as Southampton condemns Chelsea to home loss
There’s no end in sight for Chelsea as they once again lost to Southampton at the Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
The defeat which is coming against the background of Chelsea’s recent money spinning reel in the January transfer has caused a lot of worry for the London fans.
Southampton would have to thank their Captain, James Ward-Prowse who masterfully converted a free kick that ultimately defined the affairs for the game in the stroke of the half time.
Chelsea were on the asking side all through the game but Graham Potter’s team were condemned to a fourth consecutive winless match in the league.
The London side have now lost eight matches so far in the league- one of their poorest run of form in the history of the premier league.
Meanwhile, their redemption may still be far away with their next game billed against Tottenham Hotspur away from home.
