Politicians sponsoring violence, says Oloriegbe
Senator representing Kwara Central district at the National Assembly, Ibrahim Oloriegbe, has said politicians are sponsoring youths to destabilise the country.
This was coming after the wanton looting and destruction of public properties and private businesses in Kwara and other states across the country.
Oloriegbe, who is also the Chairman, Senate Committee on Health, spoke with reporters at the sideline of his zonal intervention and empowerment programme in Ilorin.
He urged youths not to allow themselves to be used for some ulterior motives by politicians.
He said, “The final thing is to urge people that are sponsoring violence to know that violence does not pay anybody because once a life is lost, it cannot be regained again.
“Everybody has a potential but that can only be achieved through peace. Nothing is achieved through violence.”
