The Igbomina Project North America (IPNA), a socio-cultural group founded by indigenes of Igbominaland resident in different parts of North America has explored the occasion of Igbomina Day provide free medical services to the people of Igbomina and other parts of Kwara State.
The medical outreach witnessed massive turn out as indigenes of Igbomina especially Isanlu Isin welcomed the humanitarian services with open arms, thereby expressing gratitude to the Igbomina Project North America for coming up with such a beneficial humanitarian initiative.
Mr. Tunde Olajimi, one of the beneficiaries who was presented with a wheel chair expressed his appreciation to the association for the philanthropic act and prayed for the uplift of Igbomina race.
Another beneficiary, Mrs Nike Seye who was also presented with crouches showered encomium on the association and urged the sponsors of the project not to pull a plug on the selfless services.
In his remark, the Vice Chairman of the association, Otunba Larry Bode Ojeleye disclosed that the project was designed to assist the less privileged and disabled individuals in society, stressing that the group charitable services are not limited to health care delivery as it has been contributing immensely to other spheres of human endeavours especially the educational sector.
Dr. Ismail Afolabi Bakare, the Head of Medical team said the mobile clinic project has been a success as people trooped out to received medical attention.
He further noted that the medical programme cut across medical consultation, distribution of materials – such as wheel chair and crouches – diagnosis and treatment of various diseases such as Malaria Fever, High Blood Pressure, HIV status etc.
