The Nasarawa State Police have confirmed the kidnap of six (6) pupils of Local Government Education Authority (LGEA) Primary School Alwaza, Doma Local Government Area.
The Informant247 gathered that some gunmen on motorcycles invaded the school and kidnapped six pupils, on Friday.
The sad development was confirmed by the spokesperson of the police Command, DSP Ramhan Nansel in Lafia, the capital of the state.
The spokesperson said the pupils who were between the ages of seven and eight were kidnapped while going to the school around 7am.
He further said that a combined team of security agencies — military, police and vigilante have been mobilised to the affected scene to rescue the situation and the victims.
“We are on the trail of the abductors and the Commissioner of Police Maiyaki Muhammed-Baba, has also visited the scene for on-the-spot assessment,” he said.
The image maker of the police Command said that the police have met with the school authority and the victims’ parents.
He, however called on members of the public to feed the police with any useful information that could facilitate the freedom of the victims and arrest of the suspected kidnappers.
