The Police Command in Benue State on Monday confirmed the killing of three persons in Benue state.
The attack took place at Tse Ngban village of Nyiev Council Ward of Guma Local Government Area of Benue State.
The spokesperson of the police Command, SP. Catherine Anene, while confirming the incident, said the dead body of the deceased has been moved to the Benue State University Teaching Hospital, while an investigation still moves on.
A resident in the area, Mr. Julious Moab, has earlier said the incident happened, Sunday night.
He said villagers ran for their lives as soon as they noticed three persons have lost their lives.
