Police confirm kidnapping of businessman in Kwara

The Police Command in Kwara State has confirmed the kidnapping of Emeka Nwachukwu, an Igbo businessman, by gunmen.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Ejire Adeyemi, confirmed the incident in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday.
The Informant247 had earlier reported that gunmen abducted Nwachukwu on Wednesday evening at his clinic in Kosubosu, Baruteen Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The police spox said the command and vigilante groups have intensified efforts to rescue the victim unharmed.
She said, “He was taken to an unknown location. The police, alongside the vigilante groups in the community, have intensified efforts to rescue the victim unharmed.”
She added that further developments on the rescue operation will be communicated.
