The Senator representing Kwara South Senatorial District, Senator Ibraheem Rafiu has been arraigned by the Kwara State police Command in the Magistrate court in Ilorin on Monday morning.
The legislator who had been arrested since last week Thursday and remanded in the police custody has been charged to court for Criminal conspiracy, inciting and public disturbance, mischief and causing grievous hurt among other counts.
Senator Rafiu was earlier arrested for a perceived involvement and instigation of a violent attack on the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial candidate, Arch. Lola Ashiru’s campaign team while the latter had visited Ojoku to see the king.
The police upon investigations has since made some arrests of suspects in the case. One Soliu Abdulmuiz, Adigun Taofeeq, Wasiu Toheeb, Garba Mustapha all male and the PDP Woman Leader in Ojoku, Kubura Wahab (F) and many more as the accused in the case.
The case is before Magistrate J S Soliu of Ilorin Magistrate court, Ilorin.
