Police apprehend 30 year-old suspected abductor in Delta, recover stolen vehicle

The operatives of the Police from the Issele-Uku Division in Delta State have apprehended one Onyeka Ozoh, 30, a suspected cultist, hiding in the community.

A red coloured Toyota Camry with no registration number was recovered by the police from the suspect.

The commissioner of Police of the Delta State Police Command, Ari Muhammed Ali has confirmed the news via a signed statement by the spokesperson of the Police in the state, DSP Bright Edafe.

According to the spokesperson, “The suspect claimed that he bought the vehicle at Onitsha at the cost of one million, five hundred thousand naira (#1,500,000) and that all original documents were with the previous owner.

“However, investigations later revealed that the vehicle belongs to a man (name withheld) who was kidnapped on 20/8/2022 at Ozubulu in Anambra State and released after a ransom was paid and the vehicle taken from him.

“Suspect will be transferred to Anambra Police Command for further investigation.”
