Residents of Owode-Onirin/Nafsat community in Ilorin South Local Government Area of Kwara have appealed to the State Government to restore electricity supply which had eluded the community for more than a years.
Mr Abdul Ola, who is a member of the community, made the plea in a telephone chat with THE INFORMANT247 correspondent on Sunday.
Ola said that the transformer got burnt years ago and since then they have been repairing but it kept developing fault.
He said, “Our transformer got burnt and since then we have been repairing it. The ministry of energy sent their engineer to visited the place.”
“Its a very large community with a very lot of inhabitants. We have submitted to the state government. We also submitted to the Senate president mandate constituency though Mr Otukoko.”
“We have just submitted another letter to KWIRS. Whenever we repaired, it will spoil again. We have been doing that long ago”
However, investigation revealed that micro and small businesses in the communities had suffered a great setback due to lack of public source of power.
