The presidential flagbearer of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, on Friday, paid the former President Goodluck Jonathan a visit at his residence in Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa State.
The presidential candidate had a closed door meeting with the former Nigerian leader.
The Informant247 observes that the meeting may not be unconnected with the forthcoming 2023 presidential election.
The former president admitted that the country was extremely divided. He therefore advised the presidential candidate to unite the country if he emerges the winner at the polls.
Jonathan has also given kudos to the presidential flagbearer for being bold enough to come out and aspire for the presidency outside the 2 most popular political parties in the country.
The Informant247 also gathered that the presidential candidate (Peter Obi) led his team to the residence of the former president; among whom were his running mate, Yusuf Baba-Ahmed, and other party leaders.
