The Brazilian football legend has reportedly been moved to ‘palliative and end-of-life care unit in the hospital.
According to reports on Brazil outlet,
Folha de Sao Paulo on Saturday, the three time world cup winner was no longer responding to chemotherapy treatment and is now receiving pain-relieving measures in a palliative end-of-life care ward.
The report is coming against the reality of the statement that Pele made on Friday on his Instagram.
“Friends, I am at the hospital making my monthly visit,” he wrote. “It’s always nice to receive positive messages like this. Thanks to Qatar for this tribute, and to everyone who sends me good vibes”
Meanwhile, message of solidarity has continued to pour in for the 82-year-old as he battles to recover from metastatic cancer which has seen him moving in and out of hospital recently
