The Former President of the Nigerian Senate, Dr . Bukola Saraki has assured Kwarans that the Peoples Democratic Party will return to power in 2023.

He stated this at the inauguration ceremony of the party’s Unified campaign Council held on Thursday in Ilorin.

Saraki said the ruling All Progressive Congress has only brought unbearable hardship to Nigerians, and the masses are ready to reject them at the poll.

He said, “Nigerians are tired of APC, even, the northwest which is the home of APC are tired.”

He reeled out the many achievements of the PDP over the years, maintaining that the APC has not been able to surpass them.

He added, “I see a propaganda poster, they say 16 years of rot. Is KWASU a rot? Is diagnostic centre a rot? Is Ilesha baruba to Cikanda road a rot? Is that place he sleeps and wakes up a rot? It is three years now and he has not been able to commission a single project.

“It has never happened before in Kwara state that a sitting governor is not commissioning a project even after three and a half years. This is more reason why Kwarans should return PDP to power.”

The former two-term governor of the state further implored the inaugurated members to start sensitizing Kwarans on why PDP is the right choice.

“Millions of people are depending on you, to deliver your polling unit. What will make you benefit is your result in February and March then leave the rest to me and Almighty Allah,” he said.

For his part, the gubernatorial candidate of the party, Alhaji Shuaib Yaman, reiterated that the party has all it takes to take power back from the ruling party.

He said, “I have no doubt that comes 2023 Insha Allah PDP will be victorious.”

The unified campaign council had list of hundreds of youth and elders which cut across all wards in every local government of the state.

Some of the inaugurated members include Musbau Esinrogunjo, Comrade Bisi Fakayode, Adisa Jaji, Kayode Ogunlowo, Lawal sharafadeen (Arab money), Olusegun Shola (Shollyment), among several others
