PDP ends Osun Speaker, Owoeye’s 5th term ambition, clears 25 out of 26 seats
The incumbent Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Timothy Owoeye representing Ilesha East constituency has lost his seat to the People’s Democratic Party, PDP’s candidate, Olatunbosun Oladiran Oyewole.
The Informant247 learned that the PDP won 25 out of 26 state constituencies, while APC won a seat — only Boripe/Boluwaduro State Constituency.
Only Femi Popoola representing Boripe/Boluwaduro constituency, and who’s the incumbent Deputy Speaker retained his position in the house.
In Ifelodun Constituency, Tajudeen Akinlolu Adeyemi of the PDP had 16,184 votes to conquer his closest contender, Mulikat Abiola Bello of the APC who secured 7, 460 votes.
In Ede North State Constituency, Adewumi Babajide Kofoworola of the PDP had 17530 votes to floor Abdulquadri Suleiman of the APC who had 9,010 votes.
In Ilesa West, Wale Akerele of the PDP had 13261 votes while Wale Adedoyin of the APC polled 6392 votes.
In Ifedayo State Constituency, Prince Kashope Abolarin of the PDP had 5416 votes to floor his close challenger from the APC who secured 2939 votes.
Abiola Jeremiah Awoyeye of the PDP secured 11691 votes while his close political opponent in the APC received 8997 votes in Ife Central State Constituency.
The PDP’s Abidemi Akinyode had 11383 votes to defeat his opponent in the APC who came up with 5313 votes.
The PDP won other state constituencies such as: Ife South, Ife East, Modakeke Area Office, Oriade, Ika, Ejigbo, Ayedaade, Irewole/Isokan, Irepodun/Orolu, Olorunda and Osogbo and others.
