2023 HoA Election: ASKOMP felicitates Kwara Assembly member-elect, Rukayat Shittu

The Association of Kwara Online Media Practitioners (ASKOMP) has sent congratulatory wishes to the member-elect of Owode/Onire Constituency in Kwara State House of Assembly, Rukayat Gbemisola Shittu on her successful outing during March 18 election.
The congratulatory message was revealed in a statement released by the association’s chairman, Salihu Shola Taofeek on Sunday March 19, 2023.
Taofeek describes Rukayat Shittu as a professional, diligent and veteran journalist with Just Event Online before embarking on the political journey to the House of Assembly on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
While felicitating the 26-year-old Mass Communication graduate, added that her emergence as a Honorable member of the state legislative chamber would ginger and serve as motivation to the community of youth and the ASKOMP as a body.
The Umbrella body for Professional Online Journalists in Kwara implores her to continue to remain a good ambassador of the Youth Constituency as she has always been and wishes her successful and impactful stay in office.
In a similar development, the association saluted the courage of the Publisher of 360Vibes, Dunmoye Ayobami Yahaya for taking it upon himself to contest in the just concluded election.
He aspired for Kwara Assembly seat of Eji/Lanwa Constituency on the platform of the Labour Party, LP.
The association urges Dunmoye not to give up his political ambition and social aspiration, saying his decision to contest would motivate the community of youth to get involved in political activities of their various communities.
