Patigi by-election: Appeal Court upholds APC candidate’s victory
The Court of Appeal sitting in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital, has affirmed the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the March 2020 Patigi State Constituency by-election, thereby nullifying the tribunal judgement that declared People Democratic Party candidate, Mohammed Yahaya, winner.
Recall that THE INFORMANT247 earlier reported that the House of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal, sitting in Ilorin had sacked Adam for allegations of fraud and irregularities in his name.
Consequently, the tribunal also declared Hon. Mohammed Yahaya of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of the bye-election.
The Appellate court however upturned the judgement.
