It was a sheer show of sorrow as a 19-year-old man, identified as Zakari allegedly stabbed one Ismail, popularly called Sumaila to death at a night party over varying choices of music in Zango area of Ilorin, Kwara State.
The informant247 gathered that the crisis erupted around 9 p.m. on Sunday, 17th March, 2019 in the capital city of Ilorin when the suspect requested for his choice music and the deceased countered the suspect’s choice with a demand for different musical track , this, the suspect saw as an affront to his personality as he was infuriated and horrifically stabbed him to death.
An eye-witness who craved anonymity disclosed that the suspect immediately absconded after the terrific action while his father has been apprehended by the police.
It was also reported that some disgruntled youths after burning the suspect’s father’s shop to ashes, also made an aggressive attempt to set the suspect’s family house ablaze, but were checked by the peace-making neighbourhood.
Theinformant247 also gathered that the deceased’s body has this morning been interred at the Muslim Cemetery in Oyun Area.
At the time of filing this report, the whereabouts of the suspect is yet to be ascertained.
