Parent assaults school teacher in Kwara for punishing student
A junior secondary school teacher named Ismail has reportedly been assaulted by a parent of one of the students in the school.
The father of the student reportedly stormed the premises of Junior secondary school Akerebiata in Ilorin metropolis on Wednesday, beating the teacher who he alleged to have punished his son.

The incident was confirmed by Comrade Saka Saafi O. Adanla,the Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Teachers(NUT) in Ilorin East local government area of Kwara State.
Comrade Saka who commended the Kwara SUBEB Chairman, Professor Shehu Adaramaja for his timely intervention on the issue urged for calm and added that the matter is already being handled by a court of competent jurisdiction.
He said”The NUT Ilorin East Branch, in collaboration with the State leadership, is fully on top of the situation. We are closely monitoring developments and we assure you that justice will be pursued appropriately.

In a video obtained by The Informant247, the teacher who was alleagedly assaulted by the had his clothes torn off by the Parent while the incident also resulted to a temporary disruption of academic activities.
The Parent was eventually arrested and led out of the school premises by officials of the Nigerian Civil Defense Corps(NSCDC).
