Oyabambi condemns shooting of #EndSARS protesters
A former gubernatorial candidate of the United Democratic Party UDP in Kwara State, Otunba Adetunji Oyabambi has condemned the shooting of unarmed #EndSARS protesters by the military in Lagos State.
Oyabambi applauded the protesters for demanding an end to police brutality and bad governance in the country.
The business mogul, in a statement he personally issued on Thursday, described the use of force on defenseless protesters displaying the Nigerian national flag and singing the Nigerian national anthem as unwarranted.
He, however, urged the federal government to attend to the demands of the youths, instead of attacking them.
“I have studied the five demands of the youth and it is all based on better policing, good governance and justice for the disbanded SARS’ victims. I urged the federal government to attend to these demands. It is for the good of the country,” he stated.
