Owolabi disburses multi-million naira empowerment items to constituents

The lawmaker representing Share/Oke-Ode Constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Owolabi Olatunde Razaq, on Saturday distributed empowerment items worth millions of naira to constituents across the area.

The programme, held at the open field of Community Secondary School, Babanloma in Ifelodun Local Government Area, saw beneficiaries receive vehicles, motorcycles, cash grants and vocational tools.

The event drew party leaders, stakeholders and residents from Offa, Oyun and Ifelodun local government areas.

Speaking at the programme, the Kwara State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who was represented by the Vice Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Sanmari, commended the lawmaker for what he described as his contributions to grassroots development.

He said the empowerment initiative would help improve the living conditions of beneficiaries and strengthen public confidence in the party.

In his remarks, Owolabi said the initiative was aimed at supporting livelihoods and encouraging self-reliance among constituents.

He explained that the beneficiaries included trained youths who received tailoring kits, market women given revolving grants, farmers supported with tools, as well as others empowered with income-generating items.

He added that support was also extended to local security outfits, including vigilantes and forest guards, to boost community safety.

Items distributed included buses, motorcycles, sewing machines, grinding machines, freezers, farm tools and cash grants.

Some beneficiaries who spoke at the event expressed appreciation, noting that the support would improve their businesses and living conditions.
