Osun judiciary reinstates sacked Justice Oloyede

A sacked High Court judge, Justice Olamide Folahanmi Oloyede, has been reinstated to the Osun State judiciary.

Recall that Oloyede has been petitioned by the Osun Civil Societies Coalition, for failing to exhibit manner that preserves the dignity of her office and the independence of the judiciary.

Justice Oloyede, however got unjustly retired by the National Judicial Council (NJC) in 2016.

She thereafter visited the court to challenge the decision of the judicial council.

A federal high court in Abuja had revealed that her removal was illegal and directed the Osun State Government to reinstate her.

Justice Oloyede won the case against the state government in June, 2021

The judge resumed at the Osun State High Court, Ijebu-Jesa Division, on Tuesday, June 1, 2022.
