Osun 2022: Heavy security as tribunal commences sitting

Heavy presence could be felt at at the Osun State High Court on Monday morning as the gubernatorial election tribunal begins sitting.

The Informant247 reports that Governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola has challenged the outcome of the July 16 governorship election as declared by the Independence National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Meanwhile, the Governor had demanded for the relocation of the sitting of the Tribunal to Abuja, the nation’s capital on security ground.

But the Appeal Court President, on Friday refused the request.

The president added that security agents in the State had given assurance to the Court of their support and co-operation to effect the security of the Tribunal and its sittings.
