Osimhen’s magic missing as AC Milan thrash Napoli 4-0
The impact of Victor Osimhen on the Napoli team was glaring as AC Milan thrashed the Partenopei 4-0 on Sunday.
Rafael Leao scored two brilliant goals as the visitors stunned Serie A leaders at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on Sunday.
On between Leao’s brace, Brahim Diaz had doubled the lead for the Rossoneri with Saelemaekers capping it all a great show for the Stefano Pioli.
While the result saw Milan take advantage of Inter’s loss to Fiorentina by going third in the table, it also bears no much damage to Napoli’s 16 points clear at the Serie A summit
Osimhen has been ruled out of the game due to the injury he sustained while playing for the Super Eagles of Nigeria in their AFCON 2023 double header qualifiers against Guinea Bissau.
He has scored 21 league goals and provided four assists to help Partenopei keep up on the tab of a first league title since 1990.
Even though he is expected to spend two weeks on the sidelines, Osimhen has promised his fans that he will get back to action soon.
“It is nothing serious, but I want to take these 10-12 days to rest and recover. I hope to be there, but I have also been told and I am convinced that I will be on the pitch against Milan.” he told TG5
